So I thought I'd crack on and let you know a little more about me, your hero, Night-Wolf.

I'm in Love!!!

Yes - I can tell you it's been a long, long time coming! But I've finally found a woman worthy of my affections. Well, I say mine, really it's my top secret identity and civilian persona that she's fallen for. I've finally found someone with whom I can be myself.

Who is this mysterious temptress who's tempted yours truly from the life of forced celibacy every hero finds himself on? Well it's none other than Maggie Pye. That's right - the woman from the papers, the multi millionairess who's savvy business sense saved her family's company from bankruptcy. The one who's all over the news as a Cinderella story (that is if Cinderella was already quite well off to start with). After winning gold for her country in gymnastics she returned to take over her father's struggling business empire. In no time at all she's turned it around into one of the most successful multi-nationals in the world. What's her secret? How was she able to invest 3 million in new technology? Where'd the cash come from? That's what everyone wants to know. But I'm not just with her for the money, the expensive restaurants, the champagne. I love her because she's honest and hard working. So hard working in fact that she left mid-meal at La Plaza on our last date to attend a highly important midnight board meeting at her company. In a way I was pleased as obviously it freed me up to do some patrolling.

On the subject of that night's particular patrol I once again ran into the mysterious costumed female known as The Magpie. She's too has been in the papers (this time for all the wrong reasons), following her series of high society robberies. So far she's amassed around 3 million in jewels from her heists.

I must say she's quite the looker (in a plain sort of way) - and definitely quite the gymnast (3 somersaults and a half turn from off the top of Cardinal Tower is no mean feat - I've only tried it once and that wasn't by choice). Unfortunately she got away before I was able to bring her to justice. But nest time... next time...

Anyway I have to go now as I'm meeting her for lunch, she says she hurt her arm in a polo match so I'm taking flowers. Not sure what time it is now as my watch seems to have gone missing.

I'll catch up with you all soon!

Night-Wolf

My First Entry...

I think it was C.K Chester that said "No man is an Island". Of course he was right (except for Island-Man and last I heard he was under redevelopment). What I think he meant, or at least what I mean by it, is that I can't keep my years of experience in the crime fighting industry to myself any longer. Every year I get literally dozens of pieces of fan mail and nearly half of them say I should put my thoughts to paper on subjects (or at least thoughts to keyboard). And so I have valiantly opted to let people look at my log. Indeed I'll be trying to find the time to give you a variety of logs (obviously of different lengths and consistency) to give you a fuller picture of what it's like to be in my tights.

People think it's an easy life being a superhero (probably due to that mid 1980's government initiative called "It's An Easy Life As A Superhero"). In fact that’s so far from the truth (and the promotional DVD that I was sent at the time) as it's possible to get. Back then the government actively encouraged orphans to choose a career as a side-kick - if you lost one you could easily order a replacement that would arrive by the time you'd cleaned his predecessor’s blood from your uniform. Nowadays it's all child protection this and side-kick union that. There's so much paperwork actually getting out there and fighting crime is nearly impossible. Then there's the insurance...

Professional indemnity they call it. Say I save you from a crime and in the fracas you happened to get (accidentally) struck with a grappling hook wielded by yours truly. Next thing you know you're suing me even though I stepped (swung) in and saved you from what could have been a highly inappropriate robbery. It's all just an injustice - and a caped crimefighter I find injustice to be, well, bad.

Anyway I'm off now. Crime won't solve itself y'know....
